We will pick you up at your hotel and head to the main port of the city of Puno, board the boat and begin a cruise on Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be the Uros Island, a culture that is more than 3,000 years old and that builds its homes in the middle of the lake using totora reeds. We will learn how they build their homes and learn more about their way of life. If there is time, we can go on a totora raft, then we will continue our trip to Amantaní Island, where some of its inhabitants will welcome us and accompany us for lunch made with local products.

During the afternoon, we can walk to the top of the island, which is at 4,130 m above sea level, from where you have an unbeatable view of the sunset over Lake Titicaca. Then, we will return to our assigned accommodation in a local family home.

We will get up early to have breakfast and say goodbye to Amantaní, to leave for the island of Taquile, which in colonial times was used as a prison. There we will be able to share with the inhabitants, who will show us their textile crafts. We will also be able to tour part of the island, visiting some non-touristy areas where there are temples, tombs and terraces from the pre-Inca era. As we advance, our guide will explain the traditional forms of farming and some ancestral customs that are maintained to this day. Then, we will go down to the port to take our boat and begin the return trip to Puno.
