ITINERARY
Day 1:
The "Cataract of Perolniyoc" is part of the charming tourist resources that the traveler can find in the Cusco region. This waterfall has a slope of more than one hundred meters, through which the water rushes forming a fine veil that, together with the sun's rays, seems to release flashes in the distance. Within this circuit you can also visit the archaeological center of Raqaypata, which is not yet very visited and holds a lot of information that you can discover with our local guide. It is part of a day tour with US.
Biosecurity protocols and surveillance plan active against covid-19 at all times.
The day begins with pick-up from the hotel at 8 in the morning to transfer you along the route of the sacred valley of the Incas in an approximate time of 1 hour and a half until reaching the living Inca city of Ollantaytambo. We will make a short stop to use the toilets and buy some snacks, then we will continue on our way to the small town of Socma, which is 25 minutes away. We will begin the walk to the archaeological center of Racaypata (3,550 masl / 11,646 feet). On the way we will appreciate the daily life of the inhabitants of the area, crops, etc. Our guide will explain to us about the function that this archaeological center had in ancient times, its construction is based on stones and mud. After the visit we will begin the descent through the Andean landscapes towards the spectacular Perolniyoc waterfall (3,460 masl / 11,351 feet). This waterfall has a drop of approximately 100 meters in altitude, where we will be able to enjoy nature in its natural and pure state, breathing pure and fresh air. If you dare, you can take a small dip in its crystal-clear waters, in the same way you will enjoy the landscape and the beautiful views that you will get. You will be able to observe some typical birds of the Sacred Valley. We will return to the city of Urubamba where we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch and rest.
