Cusco + Inca Trail

ITINERARY
Day 1:
WELCOME AND CITY TOUR
Upon arrival at Cusco airport our staff will welcome you and transfer you from Cusco airport to the selected hostel, where we will have a mate coca. After lunch at 1:30 pm we will begin the guided tour that includes visiting the center of the ancient city of Cusco, the Monastery of Santo Domingo, the Temple of Koricancha and the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puka Pukará, Tambomachay and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built with huge rocks that until now remains an enigma the mobilization and use of these, there being no stone quarries in the area. At 7:00 pm. If we wish we can see a show of music and dances of Cusco at the Qosqo Native Art Center.
Day 2:
TOUR TO THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
This day we will take the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a tour that we start at 8:40 in the morning, picking you up from the hostel to go to Pisaq, which is a typical market, with picturesque terraces cultivated in the mountain. We will visit the archaeological group of Pisaq. It is also famous for its Fairs where you can buy beautiful handicrafts. Then we will go to Urubamba where we have a buffet lunch included. Then we will go to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, where there are descendants of the Incas who live in the houses of the Incas. Finally we go to Chinchero to see its market and the archaeological group with typical Spanish superimpositions on the Inca constructions. The tour will end around 7:00 pm in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco. We will spend the night in the selected hostel in Cusco.
Day 3:
START OF THE INCA TRAIL
After breakfast at the hostel, we pick you up very early and travel by road until we reach km 82. At this place we will get in touch with porters, cooks and the necessary equipment for the excursion. We will begin the walk along the Urubamba River to reach Llullucayoc, where we will have lunch. We continue our journey crossing the Huayllabamba Valley to reach Huayllabamba, where we will camp and have a nice dinner and then spend the night.
Day 4:
INCA TRAIL
We will get up very early to contemplate the beauty of the mountains and breathe the pure air that nature generously gives us. After breakfast we will continue our walk until we reach the highest point, the "WARMIWAÑUSCA" pass (where women die) at 4200 m.a.s.l., from where we will have a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains, valleys and surrounding mountains. We will continue with the descent to the great valley of "PACAYMAYO", where we will have the service of hot drinks (mates); then comes dinner and finally the camp. Includes lunch and dinner.
Day 5:
INCA TRAIL
Breakfast at the camp, then we begin the walk through a semi-tropical valley, seeing vestiges of the Inca culture, strategically located according to the needs for the daily life of the Incas who inhabited the area, then we begin the ascent to Runcuracay archaeological zone at 3,700 m.a.s.l. We continue then to Sayacmarka where we will rest for a while. Then we continue our walk to PHUYUPATAMARCA (City above the Clouds), impressive Inca City. Where we will have lunch, We continue through Wiñaywayna at 2,690 m.a.s.l. located in the jungle edge where we will have dinner and camp.
Day 6:
INCA TRAIL AND VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU
After breakfast we will continue to the wonderful entrance of Machu Picchu through the Inti Punku or Sun Gate, from where you have an impressive panoramic view of the citadel. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, we will take a guided tour of the citadel, visiting the main remains and monuments, such as the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows. Afterwards you will have free time to walk around the citadel and then be transferred by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). In the afternoon we return to the Ollantaytambo train station and then from this city we will board a bus to Cusco. Overnight at Hotel Cusco.
Day 7:
TOUR TO MARAS - MORAY
After enjoying your breakfast at the hostel, we will pick you up at 9:00 a.m. to go to the town of Maras and take a colorful tour, passing through very typical towns and beautiful landscapes that we can enjoy on our tour, first we will visit the town of Maras, from there you can see the Vilcanota mountain range and the snowy peaks such as the snow-capped mountains "El Chicón" and "La Verónica". Today this picturesque town holds attractions from the pre-Hispanic, colonial and republican periods, then we will visit the Moray Archaeological Complex located 7 km southwest of Maras; they are a set of enormous terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic hole, these beautiful terraces that served in the Inca era as an agricultural laboratory "Greenhouse Prototype". Finally we will visit the Salineras located northwest of the town of Maras are made up of about 2000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m², exploited since the Inca era, Colonial era and still being exploited by the locals. After our visit we will return to the city of Cusco.
Day 8:
END OF THE TOUR
After a good breakfast, we will pick you up from the hostel where you are staying and take you to the airport in the city of Cusco, which is a few minutes from the center of Cusco. We must be there at least an hour before to make arrangements to confirm your flight. We will say goodbye and you will take the return flight to Lima.
