TRAVEL FAST CUSCO POLICIES
Dear travelers,
Thank you very much for your preference! Please read the following carefully (before booking):
The Peruvian system of services and products is sometimes different from that of your home country. We suggest you read the following carefully:
Travel in Peru: TRAVEL FAST CUSCO operates in regions where standards of accommodation, transportation and services might not be what you would normally expect. However, we strive, with due care and skill, to offer the best services for our tourists. Traveling in Peru requires flexibility, patience, open-mindedness, good humor and understanding that changes can be made without notice due to circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure - see below). By booking any of our tours you agree to TRAVEL FAST CUSCO making the necessary changes without liability.
FORCE MAJEURE: Is any event that TRAVEL FAST CUSCO could not, despite all due diligence, foresee or avoid. This includes events such as war or threat, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, disease, disaster or adverse weather conditions, fire or all similar events beyond our control. In this case, TRAVEL FAST CUSCO will not accept responsibility and reserves the right to modify, postpone or even cancel the trip (this is the last option of course.
Increments in case of protests, strikes (force majeure):
In the case of a protest/strike, which is not uncommon in Cusco, it may be necessary to leave a day or even 2 days earlier than scheduled so we are able to fulfill other services. In this case, you will be charged an increase to cover the costs incurred.
Risks: When booking any of our adventure trips (Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Salkantay, Ausangate, Choquequirao, Lares, Vilcabamba trek, etc) you assume the risks associated with them. For these TRAVEL FAST CUSCO is not responsible.
Travel insurance: We recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that it covers cancellations and loss of luggage. Please send a copy of your name/company and policy number by email or bring the information when you come to our office.
Sending your main departure date and backup date:
By providing us with a main date and backup date of your trip (Classic Inca Trail, Lares, Salkantay, etc) you automatically authorize TRAVEL FAST CUSCO to use any of these dates for your reservation. TRAVEL FAST CUSCO will within the next 48 hours (after you have sent us your reservation form and confirm deposit was made) send you an electronic receipt confirming your trip has been officially booked and also to confirm the exact departure date of your trip.
Student Rate, in order to get this discount you must have a valid ISIC card. It is important to scan and send it to us via email and we will at the time of booking apply the discount and it is valid on the date you are booking on the Inca Trail or other alternate tours (you will need to show this card upon your arrival here in Cusco and Machu Picchu).
About the Briefing:
The night before the trek there will be a pre-trek briefing in our office at either 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm (exact time will be confirmed upon your arrival or by email).
Payment of the Final Balance:
We require that you pay the final balance at our offices at least 48 hours before departure of the trip (please advise if you have any delays upon arrival).
You can pay your balance in cash and in dollars or soles.
Cancellations:
(1) Deposit sent to the reservation is not refundable or transferable to any other date, person or tour.
(2) TRAVEL FAST CUSCO must be notified of any changes or cancellations of your trip as soon as you are aware of them, via email or phone so that you do not incur any expenses not covered by the deposit.
(3) Once the final balance has been paid, we will not be able to return your payment in the case of cancellations. But, however, you are able to use (Machupicchu ticket, 1 train ticket, 1 bus ticket).
VERY IMPORTANT
We suggest you stay at high altitude (above 3,000 meters - in Cusco or another high altitude city) for 1 to 2 days (minimum) before embarking on the trip. This is in order to minimize the effects of altitude as much as possible
Plenty of fluids, adding a little more sugar to your drinks, eating carbohydrate-rich foods, avoiding tobacco and alcohol and drinking coca tea helps a lot with altitude.
Thanks again for choosing us and have a wonderful trip!
